Future chefs, bakers and restaurateurs from the Culinary Institute of American (CIA) located in Hyde Park, NY recently toured the facilities at Peerless Coffee & Tea. While George Vukasin, Sr. talks to the students about the business of coffee and George Vukasin, Jr. educates the group about coffee and coffee production.
Peerless Coffee has been hosting groups from the CIA for several years. The students come to California to spend time at CIA’s West Coast campus, Greystone, located in beautiful St. Helena. While at Peerless Coffee, the group learns about the important role coffee plays in the food industry. Students get to cup coffee with George Jr., who is a champion coffee cupper, experience the artisan roasting process and tour the Peerless Museum.
